Columbia, 80 years of passion and outdoor

The story of the Columbia brand began in 1937, when the Boyle family settled in Portland, Oregon, and opened a shop called the “Columbia Hat Company”. Before long, Gert, the eldest daughter, took the helm of the company and shaped it in her image, guiding it with her legendary perfectionism for about 50 years. 

Her high standards, both for others and herself, are encapsulated in a phrase: “it’s perfect. Now make it better”. 

Since its inception, the company has grown significantly and now offers a comprehensive range of products for outdoor activities, including jackets and down jackets, sandals, and hiking boots, shorts, and t-shirts.
