Nordisk, for outdoor adventures since 1901
Founded in 1901 under the name Northern Feather, Nordisk was the first Danish company to focus on down and feathers. In 1941, the brand developed and produced its first sleeping bags. From the outset, the range included models made from down and others from synthetic fibres. It was in 1967 that the company fully embraced the outdoor market, aiming to produce products focused on innovation, quality, and functionality. In 1977, the first tents appeared, followed two years later by backpacks. In 1991, the brand changed its name to Nordisk. Since then, the Danish brand has grown significantly and offers a robust development programme, based on Danish and Scandinavian design, values, and heritage. The sleeping bags, tents, and Nordisk mattresses are all increasingly sophisticated and have received numerous awards. Paying particular attention to its footprint and the sustainability of its products, the Nordisk brand has joined the United Nations' global goals. These goals aim to create a better world by 2030 by eradicating poverty, combating inequalities, and addressing the urgency of climate change.
