Dainese
Dainese: The Passion for Two Wheels Since 1968
The story of the Italian brand Dainese began in 1968 when Dino Dainese, an Italian motorcycle enthusiast, took a trip to London on a Vespa. It was during this trip that he discovered the superbikes, ridden by riders dressed in the first leather suits. Upon returning to Italy, Dino decided to dedicate himself to the design and production of protective gear specifically for motorcycling. In 1972, the first product of the brand was launched with the establishment of the brand in Molvena and the production of the first motocross pants Dainese. In the following years, the Italian brand collaborated with riders to design products that met their needs. Motorcycle jackets and leather jackets emerged in the product range dedicated to motorcycling. In search of innovations for the sport, in 1979, Dainese introduced the first back protector in history. A small revolution for rider safety.
In the 1980s, the brand's expertise became more accessible, and protections that were previously reserved for professional riders became available to the general public, allowing more people to benefit from the innovations and expertise of the brand. In 1994, the “No Impact” division was created to export Dainese's knowledge and expertise to other extreme sports such as mountain biking, alpine skiing, and snowboarding.
Dainese: Technical and Innovative Products for Your Safety
Since the design of its first motorcycle jacket in the 1970s, Dainese has continually sought innovations to provide the highest level of safety for riders and athletes. The development of the brand's various protections is achieved through collaboration with the greatest champions of each sport. Thus, the range of Dainese mountain bike protections expanded in the early 2000s with the various world championship titles of the most renowned downhill riders of the time. The products can be tested and proven in all possible conditions, a real-life laboratory for the brand from Molvena. A collaboration with Italian champion Valentino Rossi also allows Dainese to continually improve its back protectors for Moto GP. He won his ninth world title in 2009, equipped with Dainese and AGV protection. Since then, the brand's range has expanded, and Dainese now offers a complete collection of mountain bike helmets, mountain bike goggles, and of course mountain bike protections. Products designed and manufactured for over 70 years while respecting the unique expertise and skills of the brand.
Among the wide range of Dainese products is the Dainese Linea 03 mountain bike helmet. This lightweight yet protective mountain bike helmet is ideal for sessions on mountain single-tracks, equipped with the best protection technologies including MIPS®.
