Running T Shirts
Running T Shirts, the essential item for your running outings
For several years now, running has been captivating more and more people in the UK. This new trend compels brands to focus on appropriate gear. Aside from choosing your running shoes, which are essential for running, it is also important to select your running t shirt wisely, as it is the first layer crucial for protecting your body. To achieve the performance you aim for, a suitable running t shirt is vital. One of the fundamental aspects of running is to maintain body heat, ensuring that your skin stays dry regardless of the intensity of the run, the duration, or the outside temperature. Any ordinary t-shirt will not provide the right sensations for running, which is why the running t shirt becomes a key element in the complete kit of the perfect runner. Running t shirts are made from breathable materials, meaning they allow sweat to evaporate while keeping your skin dry. Unlike cotton shirts that absorb moisture and cool the skin very quickly, running t shirts are perfectly suited for intense efforts. The running t shirt is therefore the quintessential running garment!
New technologies at the service of the running t shirt
Many brands are beginning to develop increasingly sophisticated technologies to make the running t shirt one of the flagship items of their production. With the development of running t shirts, you can now look stylish while in running gear. There are more and more running shirts available that allow both casual and serious athletes to dress as they wish, thanks to a wide selection. However, style is not the most important aspect of the running t shirt; the first thing to consider when choosing your running t shirt is comfort and technicality. For this, you should favour technologies with sometimes exotic names like Dri-fit or CoolMax, which are the must-haves for the running shirt. These materials have the advantage of promoting moisture evacuation from your skin and keeping you dry. With the return of nice weather, the running t shirt will become essential for your sporty Sunday mornings; no more excuses of cold or bad weather to seek a lie-in. In summer, you can continuously enjoy the sun while wearing your running shirts and running along the Loire or in the Vosges forests, for example.
The marathon and half-marathon season is in full swing right now, and it’s the perfect opportunity for you to proudly showcase your brand new investment: your running t shirt. Indeed, the running shirt can accompany you on all your sporting challenges. If you wish to prepare for the upcoming Reims marathon in October, invest right away in running shirts. These t-shirts will be ideal for your training, and even if you just want to do a few Sunday jogs, the running t shirt will still be your main ally. In short, from the moment you put on your sports shoes, the running t shirt is the element you should not skimp on in your runner's kit.
How to choose your running t shirt
So, there’s no question of choosing the same running shirt for all weather conditions; you need to adapt to the weather. In case of high heat, opt for a running shirt with short sleeves or no sleeves, which will allow your body to breathe more easily. In cold weather, choose a running t shirt that offers more coverage to keep you warm while ensuring your body can breathe. Depending on your needs, you can choose a running t shirt that prioritises lightness for more comfort and breathability or go for a running shirt that limits irritation with fewer seams. You can also choose a running t shirt with a pocket to store your energy bars or dried fruits in case of a little hunger during your effort, or even flasks or small water bottles.
Synthetic materials are most commonly found in running. Polyester and polyamide are lightweight, breathable, and wrinkle-resistant, making them very interesting for sports practice. However, they do have two small drawbacks: they retain odours and are sensitive to heat. Elastane is often present in combination with other materials; it has an elastic effect that allows you to increase your freedom of movement. Its only downside: it is also sensitive to heat. There are also natural materials for running shirts. Merino wool, lightweight and breathable, does not retain odours, but its high price and low durability are significant weaknesses for a running t shirt. Cotton, on the other hand, is pleasant to wear and breathable but retains moisture and dries slowly, which is problematic after a good jog. Even though natural running t-shirts exist, it is highly recommended to choose t-shirts made from synthetic materials to prepare for your future running sessions.
With all this information, you should now be ready to lace up your running shoes, put on your finest running t shirt, and hit the road. And remember, in sports, the most important thing is not necessarily the legs but the motivation! So, grab your running shirts, and let’s get running!
