Giro Helmets
Giro Helmets: the beginnings of a success
It was 1985 in California when Jim Gentes decided to launch the Giro brand. Since its inception, the brand has focused on sports protective equipment, specifically helmets. It was with a helmet, the Giro Prolight, that the story took a new dimension, when it was pre-ordered for $100,000 at its first public presentation. The Giro Helmets have since evolved significantly, and the range has greatly diversified. Today, you can find Giro road bike helmets, Giro mountain bike helmets, and even Giro ski helmets. The common thread among all? Groundbreaking innovation and exceptional product quality.
Giro Helmets: the plurality of practices
As we have just explained, there are a large number of Giro helmets models across various fields of activity. It goes without saying that you wouldn’t use the same helmet for cycling in June as you would for skiing in January. Here are the different Giro helmets that the brand offers. For road cycling, Giro provides very lightweight and well-ventilated models, as well as more classic and affordable versions, reaching new heights with extremely technical, aerodynamic, and protective helmets. Helmets like the Air Attack have won gold medals at the Olympics and set speed records in the Tour de France. Regarding Giro mountain bike helmets, they are also present in all areas. From classic Giro helmets for cross country practices to “jet” helmets that offer more coverage for All-Mountain riding, and finally, full-face helmets reserved for the most intense practices. Lastly, there are Giro helmets designed for skiing, with models tailored for Race, Freeride, or freestyle. You will find what you need whether you are an expert in giant slalom or a snowpark enthusiast. Combining aesthetics and performance, Giro helmets operate on the principle that “a helmet is made to protect, not to decorate, but if it can also look good on your head, then that’s even better.”
