The Mission helmet, designed by Smith, is a ski helmet that will effectively protect your head in case of impacts during your skiing days. Equipped with the Dial Fit System, which allows you to adjust your helmet precisely and easily to your head (thanks to a dial), the Mission helmet from Smith features an In-Mold construction for effective shock absorption. This ski helmet has 14 ventilation zones for better moisture management with the AirEvac 2 ventilation. Much more than "just a helmet"!
In-Mold: This is a helmet construction technology that relies on the use of an injected EPS shell (closed-cell expanded foam) that absorbs and dissipates the impact. This shell is covered with a polycarbonate sheet that protects the helmet and the head!
Aerocore™ construction with Koroyd®: This construction combines materials such as EPS (expanded polystyrene) and Koroyd®, a new material with extremely effective and consistent energy absorption properties, exceeding international standards. With the revolutionary Koroyd® material, upon impact, the cores crush in a fully controlled manner, thus reducing the final trauma. The combination of the two materials also allows for more ventilation points around the helmet, ensuring optimal air circulation without compromising safety.
AirEvac 2 ventilation: The AirEvac 2 ventilation developed by Smith ensures that your helmet and goggles work as a single system, evacuating warm and humid air from the goggle lens through the climate control system of your helmet. Smith helmets are designed to fit perfectly with the curvature of the goggle lens, ensuring precise alignment of the two systems. Thus, during exertion, the warm air accumulated in the goggles is expelled as far as possible from the goggles thanks to the AirEvac 2 EPS ventilation channels distributed in the helmet.
