The Pro Alu III shovel, developed by the brand Ortovox, is an avalanche shovel, complementing the rest of the avalanche safety equipment, composed of an A.V.D (avalanche victim detector), an airbag backpack, and a probe. A classic from Ortovox, the Pro Alu III shovel offers an optimal weight-to-rigidity ratio thanks to its modern design using innovative materials. The high lateral edges and the embossed structure make the anodized blade rigid, while an integrated shaft receiver facilitates storage. Its new quick-release system allows the blade and the grooved telescopic handle to be assembled in one motion. The new T-Pro handle is revolutionary. Not only is it adaptable for both right-handed and left-handed users, but it also allows for an economical shoveling position. One hand holds the long side of the handle, serving as an economical traction lever, while the other hand has maximum grip on the rubberized grip area of the handle.

  • Rubber on the grip area
  • T-Pro handle with reversible option for left or right-handed users
  • Quick locking without push button
  • Telescopic handle
  • Anti-slip grooves
  • Sharp and rigid cutting edge
  • Easy to store
  • 90° PRO ALU III pick function
  • Rescue sled function
  • Compatible with Pocket Spike
  • Perfect grip thanks to the grooved handle
