The lenses of BLIZ glasses are segmented into 4 subcategories:

• Hydro Lens System: Default lens on BLIZ glasses, developed to offer high performance for all athletes. It includes the following technologies: hydrophobic, anti-scratch, impact resistance, and UV protection.
• NanoOptics: Developed to offer superb vision with minimal distortion possible, it includes the following technologies: anti-fog, distortion reduction, anti-scratch, hydrophobic, impact resistance, and UV protection.
• NanoOptics Nordic Light: Specially developed to provide clear vision in difficult conditions (whiteout days) and/or low light, it enhances contrast and strengthens colors. It includes the same technologies as the classic NanoOptics lens, but with a different lens named "Extreme Contrast."
• NanoOptics Photochromic: Developed to offer the most versatility possible, it adapts to lighting conditions by lightening when the weather is overcast and darkening when the weather is sunny. It also has all the technologies present on the classic NanoOptics lens.

Regarding sunlight conditions:

• Category 0 lenses are advised for use in very low light conditions or in the evening. The visible light transmission (VLT) is between 80 and 100%.
• Category 1 lenses are advised for use in low light conditions or on cloudy days. The visible light transmission (VLT) is between 43 and 80%.
• Category 2 lenses are advised for use in medium light conditions or on partly sunny days. The visible light transmission (VLT) is between 18 and 43%.
• Category 3 lenses are advised for use in bright conditions or on sunny days. The visible light transmission (VLT) is between 8 and 18%.
• Category 4 lenses are advised for use in very bright conditions, such as at high altitudes. The visible light transmission (VLT) is between 3 and 8%.
• Photochromic lenses adapt to lighting conditions by lightening when the weather is overcast and darkening when the weather is sunny.
