The Peak 45 backpack for men, designed by Ortovox, is a reliable and robust mountaineering backpack built for demanding ascents. Made from tear and abrasion-resistant Nylon 420D Manstar, the Peak 45 is a durable pack. Its shoulder straps are wide and padded for maximum comfort. Equipped with a waist strap, this backpack offers good load distribution on the back, ensuring stability and comfort. You can quickly access its main compartment through the circular zip on the front of the pack. The Peak 45 also features a dedicated compartment for storing your avalanche safety gear. On the exterior of the Peak 45, several loops allow you to attach your rope, ice axe, and crampons. This pack also has a separate pocket for storing your map. Finally, the Peak 45 is compatible with a hydration system.
Back system: Swisswool Full Contact
The unique feature of this backpack is its back panel made from compressed Swiss wool. Just like clothing, mountaineers benefit from the unique temperature and moisture regulation offered by wool, keeping their back dry. Thanks to wool, the back of the backpack can absorb almost 30 times more moisture than similar packs with a foam back panel, and it is nearly 7% more breathable. Another advantage of wool is that the surface of the back panel dries faster. The full-contact back panel is close to the body and offers optimal load distribution. Its construction consists of two aluminum stays that provide great stability and comfort even with a heavy load.
