This optimizes battery life, provides additional lighting when needed, and conserves it when not necessary. REFLEX achieves this through data from 3D digital accelerometers, including a gyroscope and thermistors. It continuously analyzes this data to make smooth and optimal adjustments, likely more efficient than those of the cyclist themselves. It is a form of artificial intelligence. The selected runtime is obtained by calculating the average lighting power over the considered period.
