Columbia
Columbia, 80 years of passion and outdoor
The story of the Columbia brand began in 1937, when the Boyle family settled in Portland, Oregon, and opened a shop called the “Columbia Hat Company”. Before long, Gert, the eldest daughter, took the helm of the company and shaped it in her image, guiding it with her legendary perfectionism for about 50 years.
Her high standards, both for others and herself, are encapsulated in a phrase: “it’s perfect. Now make it better”.
Since its inception, the company has grown significantly and now offers a comprehensive range of products for outdoor activities, including jackets and down jackets, sandals, and hiking boots, shorts, and t-shirts.
Columbia Sportswear finds its playground in lush forests and snowy mountains, on rugged coastlines and in vast open spaces. The American brand covers most outdoor disciplines, such as hiking and camping, climbing and surfing, running, and trail….
Columbia jackets for all weathers
The jackets and Columbia down jackets are among the standout products of the American brand. As early as 1986, the family company distinguished itself by creating the first Bugaboo parka, revolutionising the gear for alpine skiers. In 2010, the Omni-Heat technology was launched: it reflects body heat and was improved 8 years later. It can be found in many of the brand's down jacket models, ensuring excellent thermal protection in winter.
However, when the weather is wet, a waterproof hiking jacket proves to be very effective. Many Columbia jackets feature the OutDry Extreme technology, which guarantees waterproofing throughout the day, even in continuous rain. Also breathable and windproof, it is ideal for all outings in very uncertain weather!
Columbia shoes for all terrains
The Columbia shoes are perfect for most outings. Whether in the city, in the snow, on a hike, or for running, the brand offers a wide range suitable for all activities. The Columbia hiking boots are ideal for technical and demanding trails thanks to their Omni-Grip outsoles that provide unbeatable traction.
The sock-like construction and Omni-Heat technology endow them with exceptional comfort and durability. And above all, these hiking boots are waterproof and can withstand any conditions! For summer outings in warm weather, the brand offers Columbia sandals for hiking. Perfect for seaside outings as well as for hikes in the foothills, the hiking sandals have many advantages that the brand has expertly harnessed.
And for more sporty outings, discover on Hardloop the range of trail shoes from the brand: gore-tex® membrane, lugs… everything is there to enjoy the trails this summer!
