Helly Hansen
Helly Hansen, 140 years of heritage
Founded in Norway in 1877, Helly Hansen continues to develop professional quality clothing that helps people stay warm and dry while feeling alive. Through the knowledge gained from evolving and working in the world's harshest environments, the company has developed a long list of market-first innovations, including the first waterproof soft fabrics over 120 years ago. Among other breakthroughs, the Norwegian brand pioneered the first fleece fabrics invented in the 1960s, the first technical base layers in the 1970s made with LIFA® Stay Dry technology, and the award-winning and patented H2Flow™ temperature regulation system. All these innovations equip most of the Helly Hansen brand clothing, from ski jackets to women's parkas! The heritage is not only technical but also in the design of the products. For example, the men's waterproof jacket Crew Jacket features a marine style that recalls the brand's origins.
Helly Hansen jackets inspired by the sea for mountain adventures
Heavily inspired by the water and sailing environment, Helly Hansen equipment is also perfectly suited for mountain adventures. The jackets offered by the Norwegian outfitter benefit from extensive experience inspired by a mountainous country bordered by seas. Thus, the Helly Hansen ski jackets, like the Alpha Lifaloft Jacket, are incredibly comprehensive and well thought out. This jacket, waterproof and breathable (20k / 20k), also features suitable synthetic insulation to face freezing temperatures. Windproof, it includes all the expected features of a ski jacket: a snow skirt, an adjustable and removable hood, numerous pockets... For less alpine outings, Helly Hansen jackets and Helly Hansen down jackets are perfect choices. For instance, the Crew Insulator Jacket 2.0 is a windproof jacket for men equipped with Primaloft insulation, ideal for outings when conditions are less than perfect. And for everyday adventures, Helly Hansen parkas are a top choice: warm, waterproof, and windproof, they boast a distinctly urban look to protect against the coldest days.
