Edelrid
Edelrid, everything for the vertical world
Founded in 1863 by Julius Edelmann and Carl Rider, the brand Edelrid draws on 150 years of experience to provide increasingly high-performing equipment for vertical pursuits. Specialising in the manufacture of climbing ropes, the brand distinguished itself from competitors in the early 1950s by inventing the braided rope. Since then, Edelrid has continuously developed its materials and production techniques to enhance its products. In 1960, it succeeded in offering a rope capable of withstanding multiple falls. This evolution marked the advent of the modern, dynamic climbing rope. Always attentive to climbers, mountaineers, and all users of its equipment, the Edelrid brand has developed climbing gear that perfectly meets the expectations and needs of its community. By combining innovation with eco-designed products, the brand has managed to connect with its audience. Today, it offers a complete range of equipment dedicated to verticality, including not only ropes but also climbing harnesses, helmets, and a wide array of small gear such as slings, carabiners, and quickdraws.
Edelrid equipment for all ascents
The Edelrid climbing equipment range includes numerous products, all dedicated to the world of verticality. Among this climbing gear, Edelrid ropes stand out particularly. Double or twin, static or dynamic, there’s something for every preference and practice. The single rope Parrot 9.8 mm features innovative assembly technology, utilising high-quality threads with a low ecological footprint. Universal in nature, it’s perfect when you’re unsure or don’t know which rope to choose. On that note, make sure to check out the carabiners and quickdraws offered by the climbing brand. The Pure Screw is an ideal screw gate carabiner for all wall outings. Lightweight, durable, and easy to handle thanks to the Keylock locking system, it covers the essentials. The kind of carabiner you should always have on your harness. Speaking of which, the Loopo Lite is quite special. Weighing in at a featherweight, this harness is one of the lightest on the market, as well as being compact and very robust. Its PEHD construction weighs only 77 grams, making it very suitable for ski touring or alpine skiing outings. The removable elastic straps on the thighs allow you to put it on without having to remove your crampons. With 4 gear loops, it ensures you can carry all the essentials!
