The iconic product of the brand, the Lifestraw filter is used directly at the source like a straw. This water filter is incredibly effective: any non-potable water becomes potable. With a minimalist design and very low bulk, it is perfectly suited for hiking, survival, travel, and many activities. These filter straws use advanced microfiltration technology on a membrane that eliminates up to 99.9% of bacteria and protozoan parasite cysts found in water. Lifestraw bottles operate on the same principle as they consist of a filter straw and a container. With a filtration capacity limited to 1,000 litres of water, they ensure numerous outings with safe drinking water. These filters and bottles work with the same technology: hollow fibre membranes combined with a charcoal filter.
