Silva
Silva, for navigating during all your activities
The story of the brand Silva began in 1933 in Sweden, when three brothers invented the very first liquid compass, making it easier to use and speeding up reading. This innovation changed the experience for many users, allowing them to take more accurate bearings from maps, especially during orienteering races. Two years later, in 1935, the first Silva headlamp was born. Although headlamps already existed, they were not very advanced. The Swedish brand improved their power and potential usage time. After a few years of development, Silva made its appearance across the Atlantic in the USA, where it promoted orienteering with map and compass. The brand, which constantly seeks to enhance its navigation and hiking equipment, now offers a range filled with gear including headlamps, compasses, and binoculars. In recent years, all headlamps have benefited from Intelligent Light Technology, which adapts to the functioning of the human eye in darkness with its dual beam. Dedicated to hiking, trail running, and orienteering, Silva products are all designed to help you find your way!
Silva equipment for navigation
Since the first headlamp produced by the brand in 1935, these devices have evolved significantly. The Trail Runner Free is an example of a Silva headlamp designed for ultra-trail. With its 400 lumens, lightweight design, and rechargeable battery, it has enough autonomy to spend a night outdoors and gain night vision. Another flagship model, the Explore 4RC lamp is completely waterproof and ensures optimal visibility during all your outdoor activities, on land as well as on water. With a power of 400 lumens, its maximum mode can illuminate up to 85 meters. To see far away, the Swedish brand also offers binoculars, such as the Binocular Scenic 8. Ideal for identifying fast-moving objects or animals, they provide a field of view of 114 meters. Equipped with Bak-4 lenses, this pair of binoculars ensures clear images while being very easy to carry. The kind of hiking equipment to always have at the bottom of your bag. And for precise navigation, whether in the mountains or during a water outing, the Field compass is perfect. Very lightweight at just 52 grams, this compass can easily be stored in a backpack without taking up any space. Yet, it’s the kind of small equipment that can be incredibly useful!
