To discover the history of the Dolomite brand, we must go back over 120 years, to 1897, across the Dolomites in Italy. It was in this magnificent environment that Giuseppe Garbuio, then just 17 years old, decided to launch his own shoe manufacturing store: Fabbrica Scarpe Montello. It was at the foot of this incredible playground that he developed his first mountain shoes, and in 1954, an Italian expedition tackled the legendary Himalayan ascent of K2, with participants equipped with Dolomite shoes, of course. Over the years, many other expeditions have showcased the quality and technicality of Dolomite shoes, allowing the brand to acquire a unique know-how, still used today in the production of its various collections, including lifestyle shoes for everyday adventures.
