The Moon Boot brand was created in 1969 by Giancarlo Zanatta in northern Italy. Originally, the Tecnica company specialised in designing sports shoes. Inspired by Neil Armstrong's first steps on the moon, the company's founder had a revolutionary idea: to create snow and après-ski boots inspired by the look of astronauts.
