Its Gore-Tex 3-layer 70D membrane combines waterproofness, breathability, and durability to provide lasting protection against rain, wind, and challenging conditions encountered on various terrains.

Its fitted Alpine Fit and pre-shaped knees support movement in technical sections, while the long YKK® AquaGuard® double-sided side zippers facilitate ventilation and make it easier to put on or take off the trousers. The waistband includes a belt with a double snap button and loops for adding suspenders as needed.

Designed for users seeking protective and versatile trousers for regular mountain use, the Makalu features reinforced lower legs and an adjustable hem to fit over mountain boots. Two zipped side pockets complete the set, while its weight of 420 g ensures protective gear without excessively weighing down the outfit.
