Its hollow fibers retain heat and promote moisture transfer, with quick drying. They have the thickness of an 80-denier fiber but weigh only half as much.

The exterior 20D nylon fabric is windproof and slightly stretchy, minimizing cooling without restricting movement. Its water-repellent finish causes water to bead on the surface, though it is not waterproof. Thigh zips allow excess heat to escape, while the flat adjustable waistband remains comfortable under a harness.

For approach, mountaineering, or ski touring, it is suitable for long active days in the cold. It can be worn alone as an outer layer or under waterproof trousers when conditions worsen. An ideal insulating pant for a typical Scottish winter storm, demanding north faces, or remote Himalayan expeditions.
