Developed by Mountain Equipment to adapt to changing rhythms in the mountains, the Switch Alpine Jacket is a men's hybrid jacket that combines warmth, breathability, and quick-drying capabilities. It can be worn as an outer layer when conditions are favorable, then as an insulating mid-layer under a hardshell when the weather worsens. This versatility is particularly beneficial during strenuous ascents, belaying phases, or long days where the intensity of effort varies regularly.

At the heart of its design, the soft Octayarn lining promotes moisture wicking and dries quickly while maintaining good insulating properties during more static phases. A double layer of Octayarn on the shoulders and upper arms enhances warmth in the most exposed areas. This is combined with a lightweight 20D nylon ripstop outer fabric, which is windproof and slightly stretchy, accompanying movements without compromising breathability.

Designed for alpine climbing, mountaineering, and ski touring, the Switch Alpine features an Alpine Fit close to the body with pre-shaped sleeves to maintain good freedom of movement. Its adjustable Mountain hood, helmet-compatible, completes the protection, while two chest pockets and two zipped side pockets keep essential gear accessible. The jacket can also be stowed in one of its side pockets for easy transport.

Octayarn: This is a hollow fiber with a cross-section resembling a cogwheel. This soft material can absorb moisture extremely quickly and also dries very fast. The fibers store a lot of heat, ensuring optimal insulation.
