The Intra Light Vest for men by Mountain Equipment provides targeted warmth in the mountains. At the front, the 40 g/m² Aerius™ synthetic insulation keeps the torso warm while remaining low in bulk. At the back, the Octayarn material promotes moisture wicking and dries quickly, especially after a long climb with a backpack. The Helium 20D fabric blocks the wind while allowing water vapor to escape. Its water-repellent finish makes water bead up on the surface without making the vest waterproof. For fast hiking or ski touring, this model combines front insulation with a back suited to exertion. It can be worn over a t-shirt or light fleece, then under a protective jacket when the cold intensifies.
