Designed with cutting-edge materials, the Vanguard uses carbon and glass fiber-reinforced plastics, all integrated into an eco-friendly Pebax® Bio Based Rnew 1100 material. The asymmetrical V-SHAPE™ gaiter offers a wide range of motion and intuitive adjustment, easily switching to walk mode. The Ultralon® liner and ultra-durable Vibram® V-Lug sole complete this forward-looking alpine touring boot.
Pebax® Shell: a comfortable and high-performance shell made from eco-compatible castor oil-based Pebax® Bio Based Rnew 1100. It offers very high resistance to low temperatures and excellent flexibility. ISO-compliant geometries.
V-SHAPE™ Pebax® Cuff: Pebax® Bio Based Rnew 1100 gaiter with an exceptional 63° range of motion, offering maximum mobility for moving quickly and safely in any situation. Asymmetrical closure that, thanks to the unique scissor-like construction geometry and large entry volumes, makes putting on the boot extremely quick and intuitive. For easy and immediate wearing, simply switch the boot to walk mode and open the front buckles. The boot is then ready to be worn. Carbon-charged gaiter for the men's version (FLEX 130) and glass for the women's version (FLEX 115).
EZ Flex™ Double Tongue: Pebax® tongue composed of two elements with different hardness (upper and lower) to combine maximum mobility in walk mode and perfect power transmission in ski mode.
V-Guard Interfaces™: anti-abrasion reinforcement zones in materials from the alpine skiing world, on the heel and toe in correspondence with the binding areas, for maximum durability.
WarmSole insert: removable insulating polyurethane insole. Prevents direct contact of the foot with the shell and increases warmth.
EZ-LOCK Closure System™: rear ski/walk rotation system in Ergal and technopolymer that ensures maximum closing speed and prevents exposure of mechanical parts to shocks and accidents.
TWIN-PWR™: double strap with upper elastic band that combines perfect closure on the shin and pleasant elastic return during skiing to offer comfort and precision on descents.
Compact Buckle™: patented lever closure system that keeps the lever on the shell in walk mode to reduce external volumes, evenly distribute tension, and maximize movement without exposing elements outside the gaiter that could hinder the skier's action.
Double Release™: compact and precise lower closure derived from the Spider Buckle Evo technical solution, which allows perfect tension distribution on the midfoot by acting on the high-strength Adjustable Cable™, anchored directly on the buckle axes to reduce shell deformation during descent.
Vibram® V-LUGS™: tread that complies with ISO UNI EN 9523 standard with heel/toe anti-abrasion inserts and exceptional durability.
VNG LINER: thermoformable liner specifically designed to work in synergy with the shell and gaiter, offering an ergonomic and enveloping fit as well as optimal comfort. Ankle protection thanks to spaces created with materials of different thicknesses and the use of Ultralon® Performance Foam material. Its design allows for the addition of a lace to further facilitate customization of internal volumes. Available in a women's version with ergonomics specifically designed for the female morphology.
BioInSole: bio-based certified insole (DIN CERTCO), made with an innovative new material from renewable sources: TR-EEcell is a bio-sourced cross-linked polyethylene foam that offers great comfort and perfect thermal insulation.
