Karpos
Karpos, the passion for the mountains
Although the Karpos brand has existed since 2007, its story begins long before. In 1946, the Cremonese family established a wool spinning mill in Fonzaso, a small Italian town at the foot of the Dolomites. A few years later, the son of the founders, a keen sports enthusiast, participated in a cross-country skiing race wearing a suit made from stretch fabric, offering a freedom of movement never seen before. This marked the beginning of the adventure. After creating various sportswear brands dedicated to cycling, the Cremonese family decided to launch a new range focused on the mountains: Karpos. The brand quickly developed and offered increasingly high-performance equipment. This is evidenced by the Karpos jackets and the collaboration with Ueli Steck. Engaged in 2017 and ending far too soon, this collaboration was a real turning point for the family business. It marked the launch of the Highest range, demonstrating the brand's strength in terms of innovations, research, and technologies. Since then, Karpos Outdoor has offered a wide range including, among others, men's jackets and women's down jackets dedicated to mountaineering and altitude.
Karpos, technical clothing to defy gravity
Offering a complete range of sportswear designed to accompany mountaineers on all the peaks of the planet, Karpos defies gravity. The brand includes technical jackets such as the Lot Rain Jacket. Waterproof and breathable (20k/20k), it is an effective barrier against all bad weather, whether it snows, rains, or winds. Ultra-light, this membrane is easy to carry everywhere and can be paired with a warm jacket in case of low temperatures. To ensure significant thermal comfort, there are the Karpos down jackets like the Lastei Active Plus Jacket. Versatile, this second layer is ideal for intense activities thanks to its combination of different materials providing warmth in exposed areas and breathability in other areas. In another category, the Karpos fleeces also ensure highly effective thermal protection. The Marmarole Tech offers a blend of Polartec Thermal Pro fleece and duck down for perfect cold protection, allowing you to advance without worries to the summit.
Karpos equipment for all alpine practices
Whatever your favorite alpine activity is, the Karpos range includes equipment that suits you. Whether it's mountaineering, ski touring, climbing, trail running, mountain biking, or hiking, the Italian brand offers high-quality fleeces and alpine softshells to accompany you in all your mountain adventures. Highly versatile and suitable for intense sessions, the Karpos softshell jackets provide perfect protection and breathability for altitude. Inspired directly by the Dolomites, the Marmarole Jacket features a hybrid composition with highly resistant materials for optimal protection. Specifically designed for mountain activities, this ski touring jacket is extremely functional. Paired with the Federa, a Karpos stretch trousers that are windproof with a water-repellent treatment, the whole set is perfect for wandering in the mountains. Lined at the front and made with thermal fabric at the back, it ensures optimal insulation for perfect breathability. Enough to venture up there without fearing the elements.
